The company was originally registered as a business name in 1973 operating as a commercial plumbing business working on State Government of Victoria projects.

JR & BL Kendall Pty Ltd was restructured into a commercial plumbing company in 1997 and a commercial building arm was introduced following John Kendall's registration as a commercial building practitioner in 1999. Long serving employees as well as family members have been a part of the company's continual growth and expansion.

JR & BL Kendall Pty Ltd has completed projects for private institutions such as schools and clubs in addition to a long respected history of working on Federal Government and State Government of Victoria funded projects in the Melbourne metropolitan area.
